Hillary Salvin’s affinity with horses began nearly four decades ago in the Pennsylvania countryside when she met her first equine partner. Their bond, developed through trust, respect, learning, and love, became the foundation for a lifelong journey of introspection and self-realization. Since that relationship, Hillary has shared her life with many remarkable horses, each one of whom deepened her understanding and appreciation of the wisdom and presence of the horse as a guide for personal transformation.
Driven by a desire to help others create healthy change and meaningful connection, Hillary was drawn to the FEEL (Facilitated Equine Experiential Learning)® program — a heart-centered approach that integrates science, emotion, and spirituality through guided interactions with horses. She is deeply committed to supporting individuals on diverse life journeys, including those seeking growth and healing, affected by addiction or mental health challenges, or pursuing overall wellness and personal development. Her practice, Horse Reflections, focuses on accessing the innate wisdom of the human and the horse, which provides insight and encouragement for shifting perspectives and living with authenticity.
Hillary has worked and volunteered at various equine-assisted and mental health facilities, contributing to therapeutic riding programs for children and adults with physical and cognitive disabilities. Her professional background includes serving as an Equine Specialist in Mental Health and Learning, participating in the Parent & Family Advisory Council at Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital, and providing support through Memorial Hospital’s Behavioral Health Department. In 2021, Hillary became a certified SMART (Self-Management and Recovery Training)® Recovery Facilitator and launched a weekly in-person meeting that continues to grow, offering evidence-informed, peer-led support within her community.
Hillary lives with her family in South Florida and offers client sessions in Davie, Florida.
